Natures All Natural- Shea Butter Mix

Hi all

This review has been a long time coming. I want to talk to you about this product here.

Yes, this product was a lifesaver for me when I was transitioning and for the first 6 months of my natural hair journey. It helped me to produce these styles:

Bantu knot out (Transitioning hair)

Used to do flat twists

Used in finger coils
On my twisty hawk

Bantu knots gone wild (transitioning hair)

Ingredients
Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Lanolin, Castor Oil, Coconut oil, jojoba oil & Strawberry Fragrance.

What is Lanolin?

Lanolin is a very greasy material produced by the sebaceous glands of sheep. It acts as an excellent moisturizer for skin and hair and also functions as an effective water barrier.

In its natural state, lanolin contains about 25-30% water by weight. When applied to skin or hair, it is very effective at penetrating the surface and enhancing moisture retention. Lanolin is also beneficial because it continues to absorb moisture from the air, and can thus act as a humectant for the skin or hair.

People with extremely curly hair (such as those with 3C and the 4C hair type) can most likely use lanolin-containing products in their regular regime and enjoy soft, smooth hair without losing curl or gaining frizz. Those with wavy or slightly curly hair (such as 2 A&B and 3 A&B hair type) may find products containing lanolin oil to have excellent performance. But they may not be able to routinely use products containing significant amounts of lanolin wax because they may be too heavy. (info found on Naturally Curly)

Price
$10 - $11.00 range

Texture:
In the medium range on texture it is smooth, thick and whipped. It feels awesome. I find that you don't need a lot to get the job done.

Smell:

Now here is the best part about this product. You can customize it. YES PLEASE!!!!
I love the peppermint, peach and strawberry.
Don't like coconut oil? Ask for Argan oil instead.

Don't know about you but I love customization.

Uses:
I was told that you can use it as a hair treatment but I can't use it for that since shea butter doesn't work well as a treatment for me but it works wonder as a sealant.

Can be used on twists, plaits, twist outs as well as when putting in braids (it does not cause a lot of build up).

Reaction:

I love it. I have used this products religiously for 1 year and it is always my go to product for when my hair needs moisture or if I will be doing long term styles like mini twists etc. I also use it on my hair before I put in my yarn braids to help seal the moisture in the strands and it causes little to no build up.

The only caution I have is to not use too much of this product because it can give you a thick coat of product on your hair.
